In this session, we will discuss why water is important, ways to water your body and how much water to drink. We will also talk about the effects of soda and other sugary beverages on the body and ways to increase your increase your water intake in a fun and flavorful way.

L.E.A.N. Start is a scientifically based wellness plan to help families with children reach their optimal level in the four pillars of health: Lifestyle, how we live; Exercise, how we move; Attitude, how we think and Nutrition, how we eat. This program is designed to help you:
• Recognize important nutrients and know how to choose healthy foods and beverages at home and when eating out
• Learn healthy eating habits and how to incorporate them into busy family lives
• Know the benefits of moving the body and simple, fun, and sustainable ways to move together as a family
• Identify how food and movement can affect mood, behavior, learning, and much more
• Identify practical ways to prevent illness and build strong healthy bodies
